As part of the Virus Resistant Cassava for Africa (VIRCA) deployment project, funded by Mennonite Economic Development Associates (MEDA), a delegation conducted an exchange study tour in Musanze District, Northern Province, on Tuesday, July 9th, 2024. This delegation included representatives from Cassava Seed Multipliers, CassVentures Ltd., and staff from Ingabo Farmers’ Syndicate, led by Chief Executive Officer Mr. Mbabazi Francois Xavier.
The delegation visited EGSP Imbuto and SPF Ikigega, two centers renowned for their best practices and advanced activities in potato seed multiplication. They exchanged views on seed multiplication value chains, and participants gained valuable knowledge to enhance their professional skills. This knowledge will help them find lasting solutions to improve seed shortages.
