As it was planned in Gwiza- Muhinzi Project funded by the European Union, over 100 Cooperative leaders from all 10 Districts covered by this project were trained on Cooperative Management, Access to Finance and Financial Literacy.
These trainings were organized in 3 sites including Kayonza gathering those from this District and Gatsibo, the site of Muhanga that had brought together those from Kamonyi, Muhanga, Ruhango, Nyanza, Gisagara and Bugesera and the 3rd site was Rusizi that had brought together cooperative leaders from Rusizi and Nyamasheke
Trainings at Kayonza in the Eastern Province and Muhanga in the Southern Province took place from 12-14/02/2024 while the one in the Western Province took place from 19- 21/02/2024
As it was declared by the Gwiza- Muhinzi Project Coordinator Mr. Thacien NGUMYEMBAREBE “The targeted population of this project are found in different Cassava Cooperatives, the aim of these trainings was to empower the managers in the above-mentioned skills in order to achieve good results all along the progress of this project.”
The Chairperson INGABO FARMERS’ SYNDICATE Mrs. Cesarie Kantarama called participants in these trainings to be focused on their duties, to ensure good management of their cooperatives, to abide with the rules and regulations that they have set up, to be characterized by integrity, transparency, trust, smartness among other values.
