On Friday, April 4th, 2025, a key meeting was held at Lucerna Hotel in Muhanga District, Southern Province, bringing together all Farmer Field School (FFS) Facilitators working with the Ingabo Farmers’ Syndicate across the 10 districts covered by the organization’s projects. The meeting was chaired by Mrs. Cesarie KANTARAMA, Chairperson of the Ingabo Farmers’ Syndicate.


According to the concept note, the meeting aimed to:
- Conduct a self-evaluation of progress in implementing field days activities,
- Co-plan strategies to accelerate field day implementation,
- Provide an induction session on the roles and responsibilities of FFS Facilitators,
- Improve understanding of the reporting system, among other objectives.
The meeting also served as a platform to share data on key indicators, including the number of smallholder farmers reached so far, and to exchange experiences and lessons learned regarding the implementation of field days and other achievements.
In his remarks, Mr. Jean Pierre HABIMANA, Deputy Chairperson of the Ingabo Farmers’ Syndicate, encouraged FFS Facilitators to take ownership of the meeting’s resolutions, be innovative in their work, and adopt best practices from one another.
Chairperson Mrs. Cesarie KANTARAMA emphasized the importance of proper planning to facilitate self-evaluation. She also urged facilitators to focus on innovation in their daily activities, honor their performance contracts, be results-oriented, and promote climate-friendly agriculture in their respective areas.
