From March 17th to 19th, 2026, the Ingabo Farmers’ Syndicate proudly took part in a high-level training on Advanced Communication Skills held at Centre Christus in Kigali. The workshop, organized by the Centre d’Étude et de Coopération Internationale (CECI), brought together Communication and Monitoring & Evaluation professionals from partner organizations, alongside CECI staff, the Volunteering Cooperation Program (VCP), and members of “Femmes Engagées pour la Résilience Climatique (FEREC)”
This three-day workshop served as a dynamic platform for learning, exchange, and professional growth. It was designed to strengthen participants’ technical and strategic communication capacities in an increasingly digital and rapidly evolving landscape. Through interactive sessions and practical exercises, participants deepened their understanding of effective communication approaches that drive visibility, influence, and impact.
A key highlight of the training was the introduction to the ethical and practical use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in communication. Participants explored how AI tools can enhance content creation, data analysis, and audience engagement, while also reflecting on the importance of responsible and ethical use. This forward-looking component equipped attendees with relevant skills to adapt to modern communication trends and technologies.
The workshop also emphasized the importance of Gender-Responsive and Climate-Resilient Communication. Participants gained valuable insights into how to craft inclusive messages that reflect Gender Equality and promote climate awareness, ensuring that communication strategies contribute meaningfully to sustainable development goals. These sessions reinforced the role of communicators as agents of change in addressing global and local challenges.
Beyond technical skills, the training fostered teamwork, collaboration, and peer learning. By bringing together diverse organizations, the workshop encouraged the sharing of experiences, best practices, and innovative ideas. This collaborative environment strengthened synergies among participants, laying the groundwork for more coordinated and impactful communication initiatives across institutions.
In her closing remarks, the Country Representative of CECI, Mrs. Olive Ingabire Zimulinda, expressed her sincere appreciation to all participants for their active engagement and commitment throughout the workshop. She emphasized the importance of applying the knowledge and skills acquired to enhance the visibility and effectiveness of their respective organizations. Mrs. Zimulinda also extended her gratitude to all partners and contributors whose support ensured the successful organization of this important training.
The Ingabo Farmers’ Syndicate remains committed to leveraging these newly acquired skills to strengthen its communication strategies, amplify farmers’ voices, and promote agricultural development. Participation in this workshop marks another step forward in building a more informed, connected, and resilient farming community.
