On October 8th, 2025, the Ingabo Farmers’ Syndicate took another step forward in empowering Rwandan farmers by organizing a hands-on training session for members of the IMPAKOMU Cooperative. The training, held in Tigita Marshland, Kirengeri Village, Kirengeri Cell, Byimana Sector, Ruhango District, Southern Province, focused on equipping farmers with practical skills in the production and use of organic manure to enhance crop productivity.

Building Capacity for Sustainable Agriculture
The training aimed to promote environmentally friendly farming practices while improving soil fertility and increasing yields. Experts from the Ingabo Farmers’ Syndicate guided participants through the process of preparing organic manure using locally available materials. This approach not only reduces dependence on costly chemical fertilizers but also supports sustainable farming systems that protect soil health and boost long-term productivity.
Participants expressed deep appreciation for the initiative, noting that such trainings are transforming their cooperatives into centers of innovation and productivity. Many farmers emphasized how organic manure has the potential to reduce input costs and improve harvest quality, leading to more resilient livelihoods.
Farmers’ Voices and Commitment
Speaking on behalf of the cooperative, Mr. Emmanuel Renzaho, President of IMPAKOMU Cooperative, commended the Ingabo Farmers’ Syndicate for its continued dedication to strengthening cooperatives and building their capacity in various areas. He reiterated the cooperative’s commitment to maintain close collaboration with the syndicate in promoting modern and sustainable agricultural practices.
“This training has opened our eyes to the power of using what we already have in our environment to improve our farming. We are grateful to Ingabo Farmers’ Syndicate for empowering us with knowledge that will have a lasting impact on our productivity,” said Mr. Renzaho.
Towards a Greener and More Productive Future
Through initiatives like this, the Ingabo Farmers’ Syndicate continues to demonstrate its role as a key partner in Rwanda’s agricultural transformation. By empowering farmers with practical skills and sustainable techniques, the organization is helping to build resilient cooperatives capable of driving local and national food security goals.
